Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) establishes the standards for lawful, responsible, and secure use of the Bosse Value Network (“BVN”) Platform. The Policy protects users, merchants, business partners, and BVN by prohibiting conduct that could compromise the integrity, security, or reliability of the Platform. This Policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, AML/KYC Policy, and all other BVN policies.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to:
Individual Users Business Accounts Merchant Accounts Enterprise Customers Developers using BVN APIs Employees and Contractors (where applicable) Authorized Representatives
All activity performed through the Platform is subject to this Policy.
3. General User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
Use the Platform only for lawful purposes. Provide accurate information. Protect account credentials. Respect the rights of other users. Cooperate with reasonable compliance reviews. Follow all applicable laws and BVN policies.
Users are responsible for all activity conducted through their accounts unless otherwise provided by law.
4. Fraud & Financial Crime
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Creating fraudulent transactions. Attempting to manipulate Reward Points or Credits. Submitting false redemption requests. Payment fraud. Chargeback fraud. Merchant fraud. Bonus abuse. Promotion abuse. Any attempt to deceive BVN, users, merchants, payment processors, or business partners.
BVN may immediately restrict or terminate accounts involved in suspected fraud.
5. Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing
Users may not use the Platform to:
Conceal the origin of funds. Transfer value for unlawful purposes. Structure transactions to evade reporting or monitoring. Facilitate sanctions violations. Support terrorist financing. Engage in other forms of financial crime.
BVN may investigate and report suspected unlawful activity where required by law.
6. Fake Accounts & Identity
Misrepresentation Users may not:
- Create accounts using false identities.
Use another person’s identity without authorization. Provide forged or altered identification documents. Misrepresent business ownership or authority. Operate multiple accounts to circumvent Platform rules.
Accounts created through deception may be suspended or permanently terminated.
7. Identity Theft
Users may not:
Use stolen personal information. Impersonate another individual or business. Access another user’s account without authorization. Obtain or use another person’s credentials. Assist others in committing identity theft.
BVN reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement when identity theft is suspected.
8. Automated Abuse
Except where expressly authorized in writing by BVN, users may not:
Use bots or scripts to automate Platform activity. Scrape Platform content or user information. Perform automated account creation. Conduct credential stuffing or brute-force attacks. Interfere with Platform operations through automation.
Approved API access remains subject to BVN’s API Terms.
9. Referral & Promotion Abuse
Users may not manipulate or abuse referral, loyalty, or promotional programs.
Prohibited conduct includes:
Creating fake referrals. Referring yourself through multiple accounts. Coordinating artificial referral activity. Using automated methods to generate rewards. Circumventing promotion eligibility requirements. Misrepresenting promotional offers.
BVN may revoke improperly obtained Reward Points or Credits.
10. Account Sharing, Sale & Transfer
Unless expressly authorized by BVN: Users may not:
Sell BVN accounts. Purchase BVN accounts. Lease accounts. Share login credentials. Transfer account ownership. Allow unauthorized individuals to access their accounts.
Business Accounts may authorize multiple administrators only through approved Platform functionality.
11. Circumvention of Security Controls
Users may not attempt to:
Bypass authentication systems. Defeat fraud detection mechanisms. Circumvent account restrictions. Avoid verification requirements. Disable security protections. Exploit software vulnerabilities. Interfere with monitoring systems.
Attempts to compromise Platform security may result in immediate enforcement action.
12. Payment Abuse
Users may not:
Use stolen payment methods. Submit unauthorized payment information. Initiate fraudulent chargebacks. Manipulate payment systems. Attempt to avoid legitimate fees. Reverse legitimate transactions through deceptive means.
BVN may recover losses resulting from payment abuse where permitted by law.
13. Platform Manipulation
Users may not intentionally interfere with the normal operation of the Platform, including by:
Exploiting software bugs. Manipulating Reward Point issuance. Artificially inflating account activity. Interfering with other users’ access. Disrupting Platform performance. Attempting unauthorized access to systems or data.
14. Intellectual Property Misuse
Users may not:
Copy or distribute BVN software without authorization. Use BVN trademarks without permission. Reverse engineer proprietary technology except where prohibited by law. Remove copyright or trademark notices. Misrepresent BVN branding.
15. Illegal Activities
The Platform may not be used in connection with any unlawful activity, including but not limited to:
Human trafficking. Child exploitation. Illegal gambling. Counterfeit goods. Controlled substances. Weapons trafficking. Cybercrime. Sanctions violations. Any activity prohibited by applicable law.
16. Enforcement Actions
If BVN reasonably believes this Policy has been violated, we may take one or more actions, including:
Issue a warning. Request additional verification. Restrict account functionality. Suspend transfers or redemptions. Place transactions under review. Remove improperly obtained Reward Points or Credits. Suspend or terminate the account. Report unlawful conduct to appropriate authorities where required by law. Pursue any other remedies available under applicable law or the Terms of Service.
The specific action taken will depend on the nature and severity of the violation.
17. Appeals
Users who believe enforcement action was taken in error may submit an appeal through BVN’s established appeals process. Appeals should include any relevant supporting information. BVN will review eligible appeals and communicate its decision after completing the review.
18. Policy Updates
BVN may update this Acceptable Use Policy to reflect changes in:
Platform functionality. Security practices. Fraud trends. Business operations. Legal and regulatory requirements. Industry standards.
Updated versions become effective on the date specified in the revised Policy.
